VIDEO: Three Young Children Brandish Gun in Chicago

Chicago – Chicago Police Department Area Central Detectives are investigating a viral video with three young children brandishing a pistol, according to Anita Padilla with Fox 32.

The video was uploaded to Facebook on July 8th and shows a man talking to a group of three boys.

The man starts out, “I’ll beat your ass, I’m BD.” BD stands for the Black Disciples criminals street gang.

The kids, who appear to be around 6-8 years old, say that they are also “BD.”

The man follows the kids in his car continuing to threaten to beat them. Then one of the kids flashes a pistol.

Both the man and the kids call each other “bitch,” and then the kid shows off his gun again for the camera.

It’s not clear if the gun is real, but the behavior the the adult for promoting gang culture with the young children, and the behavior of the children has been spreading alarm on social media.

The video has been viewed over 1.5 million times at the time of this writing, with the majority of people shocked at the adult male’s behavior.

Chicago PD recently issued a warning about a series of armed robberies committed by children as young as 6-years-old.

In each of the robberies, young children approached people in open public places, flashed a handgun, and demanded money. According to ABC7, the robberies occurred in the following locations:

2900-block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Drive at 3 p.m. on June 3,
2900-block of South Michigan Avenue at 9 p.m. on June 3,
2600-block of South Michigan Avenue at 10:30 p.m. pm June 4,
2900-block of South Michigan Avenue at 2:15 p.m. on June 4,
2700-block of South Indiana Avenue at 6 p.m. on June 4,
2900-block of South Indiana Avenue at 4:45 p.m. on June 7,
2900-block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Drive at 8:30 p.m. on June 7,
2900-block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Drive at 9:30 p.m. on June 8,
0-100 block of West 30th Street at 4:10 p.m. on June 9,
2900-block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Drive at 6 p.m. June 26.

It’s not clear a this time if there’s any connection between the children in this video and the armed robberies.

If the children in the video are different than the robbers, then that shows that there are even more young kids carrying guns in Chicago.
