The Boeing F / A-18 Super Hornet is a multi- purpose fighter capable of operating from an aircraft carrier developed in the United States in the 1990s. The variants of the Super Hornet, the F/A-18E single-seater and the F / A-18F two-seater in tandem, are a larger and more advanced derivation of the F/A-18C and D Hornet respectively.
The Super Hornet has an internal 20 mm automatic cannon and at external anchor points it can load air-to-air missiles, air-surface weaponry and supplemental fuel tanks.
