Navy Vet Rewrites Hallelujah for Moving Military Tribute

Sailor Jerri is a Navy Veteran who loves to sing. She took her talent and rewrote ‘Hallelujah’ to honor the men and women in the military .

Sailor Jerri served our country from 2002 to 2006 as an aviation mechanic on F/A18 hornets and says she had several Veterans who’ve convinced her to give the music thing a shot.

The first attempt at the song was “extremely rough” but Jerri says she wanted to post it as soon she rewrote the lyrics.

The song was meant for everyone in the military but Jerri says it was mostly for the members of G4G Covert Ops, a site for veterans. “This group is like family. It gets pretty personal but the guys open up to each other in a way they typically wouldn’t in the real world. If someone has a dark day they will have 150 messages and 13 phone calls in an hour just be sure they are on the level. That group is immensely supportive and the song was mostly for them.”

The video already has over 1 million views and more than 24,000 shares in just two days on her Facebook page.

Thank you for your service Sailor Jerri and your beautiful tribute to the men and women still serving.
