Bullet ricochet to the eye is a rough reminder to always wear protection

Michael Hill was practicing for competition when he had brutal close call.

While firing some 7.62x39mm FMJs at a 6″ AR500 steel target 15 meters away, Hill was struck in the right eye with a ricochet.

Fortunately he was wearing eye protection and walked away completely unharmed.

At 40 seconds into the video below, Michael takes the hit. The moment was captured by his GoPro and a second camera held by his partner a few meters behind him.

Near the end of the video below, Michael slows down the play back and zooms in on the moment of impact.
